Dr. Steve Cohen
Principal, Lead HR Consultant

Steve M. Cohen specializes in human resources management and consulting. Specifically, he acts as the human resources officer for organizations that do not have designated full-time HR staff, or he acts as “bench strength” for completed mediation assignments, executive search assignments, conducted audits and prevention-oriented training in the areas of sexual harassment, the ADA, and EEOC in general. He has published articles on the topics relating to management, sexual harassment prevention, the need for diversity in the workplace, employee training, and motivation.

Dr. Cohen has evaluated and developed human resource systems, policy and procedure manuals, conducted EEOC related investigations, Title VII prevention training and consulting, and post-allegation workouts. He has developed selection and recruiting systems, wage and salary systems, classification systems, performance appraisal programs, employee recognition programs, orientation programs, and on-going communications systems. Dr. Cohen has assisted many organizations resolve employee conflicts. His consulting experience covers associations, banking, governmental, health care, manufacturing and service settings. Skilled in all phases of training, his experience includes curriculum development, platform presentations and program evaluations. He has designed and presented courses for more than 20 years in a full variety of settings. His publications include management and personnel related articles in Contemporary Administrator magazine, School Bus Fleet magazine, Retirement Housing Report, and over one dozen association newsletters, including the American Society for Training and Development.

Austin J. Holt
Principal, Lead Business Consultant

Austin J. Holt’s experience as an entrepreneur, business owner, community leader and business coach/consultant brings a unique advantage and perspective into HR On-Call Solutions and how they serve their clients.

Austin began a career in real estate at the young age of 18, became the younger broker in the US at age 23, opened his own firm at 24, and then began coaching other business owners on how to gain traction in changing and dynamic markets. Austin represented national companies, franchises, non-profits, religious organizations and more, assisting them through real estate brokerage, development, consulting and more.

Realizing that he felt more fulfilled and aligned helping others accomplish their personal and professional goals, Austin pivoted out of a successful career in commercial real estate and began coaching and consulting for businesses and their teams full time.

Austin has now consulted for a wide variety of companies spanning across the US in various capacities, including but not limited to Growth Strategy & Positioning, Strategic Planning/Vision, Sales, Lead Generation and Marketing, Company Culture and Management, Executive/Personal Coaching, Efficiency, productivity and value alignment.

Patrick Geshwan
Senior Consultant

Patrick's tag line is "Because People Make Business Work." As a performance based consultant, he focuses on assisting clients (primarily owners/senior managers) in getting the very best out of their associates and their organizations. The following eight categories, though not all inclusive, provide the framework of his most common work.

In his corporate career, Patrick had stints in Marketing & Sales, Customer Services, Operator Services and Human Resources. He employed the motivational strategies of bold target setting, long range vision communication, win-win negotiation, participative management, and fun in the workplace to obtain superior levels of office efficiencies. He served as an internal consultant and shared the practical, people-oriented approaches to managers who encountered difficulties supervising participative-oriented employees.

Patrick served as the President of the Human Resource Management Association of Kansas City and also presided over the UMKC Bloch School of Business and Public Administration Alumni Group's Board of Directors. He formerly served on the Johnson County Community College Career Services Center Advisory Committee, and is an active member of the Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce. He is an alumni member of the Centurions of the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and was the former President of the Farmington, Missouri Chamber of Commerce.
