Dr. Steve Cohen

Principal, Lead HR Consultant

    Steve M. Cohen specializes in human resources management and consulting. Specifically, he acts as the human resources officer for organizations that do not have designated full-time HR staff, or he acts as “bench strength” for completed mediation assignments, executive search assignments, conducted audits and prevention-oriented training in the areas of sexual harassment, the ADA, and EEOC in general. He has published articles on the topics relating to management, sexual harassment prevention, the need for diversity in the workplace, employee training, and motivation.


    Dr. Cohen has evaluated and developed human resource systems, policy and procedure manuals, conducted EEOC related investigations, Title VII prevention training and consulting, and post-allegation workouts. He has developed selection and recruiting systems, wage and salary systems, classification systems, performance appraisal programs, employee recognition programs, orientation programs, and on-going communications systems. Dr. Cohen has assisted many organizations resolve employee conflicts. His consulting experience covers associations, banking, governmental, health care, manufacturing and service settings. Skilled in all phases of training, his experience includes curriculum development, platform presentations and program evaluations. He has designed and presented courses for more than 20 years in a full variety of settings. His publications include management and personnel related articles in Contemporary Administrator magazine, School Bus Fleet magazine, Retirement Housing Report, and over one dozen association newsletters, including the American Society for Training and Development.

Austin J. Holt

Principal, Business Dev & Executive Coaching

    Austin J. Holt’s experience as an entrepreneur, business owner, community leader and business coach/consultant brings a unique advantage and perspective into HR On-Call Solutions and how they serve their clients.


    Austin began a career in real estate at the young age of 18, became the younger broker in the US at age 23, opened his own firm at 24, and then began coaching other business owners on how to gain traction in changing and dynamic markets. Austin represented national companies, franchises, non-profits, religious organizations and more, assisting them through real estate brokerage, development, consulting and more.


    Austin has now consulted for a wide variety of companies spanning across the US in various capacities, including but not limited to Growth Strategy & Positioning, Strategic Planning/Vision, Sales, Lead Generation and Marketing, Company Culture and Management, Executive/Personal Coaching, Efficiency, productivity and value alignment.


    Austin enjoys helping business owners and key leaders understand their HR needs and create solutions that meet those needs.

Robin Todd M.S.

Director of Mental Health Initiatives & Training

    Robin received her B.A. in psychology and a certification in elementary education from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado. In 1990, she began her career as an educator. While attending graduate school at Avila University in 2012, Robin found her passion for the practice of mindfulness. She worked in the Mindfulness Research Lab for 2 years, and subsequently completed her M.S. in psychology. 


    Robin has extensive experience in supporting organizations with Mindfulness based mental health initiatives, including in-person training, workshops, courses, and more. She has spoken as a key note speaker and trainer for many mental health events, conferences and roundtables. Robin is also the Founder of Mindful Momentum, an organization dedicated to bringing Mindfulness into schools, businesses and non profit organizations. Robin has worked with healthcare organizations, associations, co-ops and more to help them level up their mental health programs and practices. 



Patrick Geshwan

Senior Consultant

    Patrick's tag line is "Because People Make Business Work." As a performance based consultant, he focuses on assisting clients (primarily owners/senior managers) in getting the very best out of their associates and their organizations. The following eight categories, though not all inclusive, provide the framework of his most common work.


    In his corporate career, Patrick had stints in Marketing & Sales, Customer Services, Operator Services and Human Resources. He employed the motivational strategies of bold target setting, long range vision communication, win-win negotiation, participative management, and fun in the workplace to obtain superior levels of office efficiencies. He served as an internal consultant and shared the practical, people-oriented approaches to managers who encountered difficulties supervising participative-oriented employees.


    Patrick served as the President of the Human Resource Management Association of Kansas City and also presided over the UMKC Bloch School of Business and Public Administration Alumni Group's Board of Directors. He formerly served on the Johnson County Community College Career Services Center Advisory Committee, and is an active member of the Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce. He is an alumni member of the Centurions of the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and was the former President of the Farmington, Missouri Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Richard (Dick) Biery

Senior Governance Consultant & Trainer

    Dr. Richard (Dick) Biery, also the founder of BroadBaker Group, is a Senior Consultant for HR Solutions On Call in the areas of governance, health-related integrated strategic thinking, high performance and quality improvement, measurement and analysis science, inter- and intra-organizational relations, and community and population-based health.


    Dr. Biery is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Minnesota earning a BA (chemistry), BS, and MD followed by an MSPH at the University of Missouri in epidemiology and community health management. He was additionally trained at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in international health, served in Vietnam as an epidemiologist, and completed his military as preventive medicine officer and acting medical commander for Ft. Drum, NY. Further training included health institutional and organizational management. He is specialty board certified in preventive medicine, the branch of medicine that includes population health and management science


    Dr. Biery's personal skills and extensive management and governing board experience present a strategic blend of high level leadership, governance, and management science as well as the field of medicine.

Trevor Gregory

    Trevor Gregory is an accomplished Project Manager at HR Solutions On Call LLC, specializing in document management, scheduling, and efficient backend communication and organization. With a background as a college athlete, Trevor brings a competitive spirit and a drive for excellence in his work.


    Trevor has played a pivotal role in keeping the team at HR Solutions On Call organized and ensuring seamless communication within the organization. His expertise in document management has been instrumental in managing and organizing various projects, including communication surrounding Health Department grants released by the US Government and the creation of policy manuals.

Stephen Losey

    Stephen has a multifaceted approach to all situations after having been blessed to work for a subsidiary of Fortune 10 Berkshire Hathaway and several other Fortune 500 companies such as Coca-Cola and Core logic. 


    Stephen has worked in real property appraisal, sales, real estate management, feasibility studies, investments, and insurance of all kinds. He has served on the boards for Chamber of Commerce and many other community organizations.  Stephen has been blessed to work alongside many charitable organizations and continues to support them through fund raising efforts.


    Stephen uses his decades of experience to come alongside municipalities, businesses and individuals to help them strategically plan out solutions that align them for maximum efficiency and return on investment with respects to all of their resources. 

Spencer Dunlap

    Spencer, a native of Kansas City, Missouri, is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background spanning various sectors. He holds a pre-med Degree in Biology and an additional diploma in education from Rockhurst College (now University). Early in his career, Spencer served as a dedicated high school biology teacher while also taking on coaching roles in baseball, volleyball, and soccer.


    Transitioning into the corporate world, Spencer quickly ascended the ranks within the field of for-profit college education. His journey led him to become the Chief Operating Officer and, eventually, President/COO of a thriving consulting firm. His nationwide travels were instrumental in the revitalization of many struggling businesses, stemming from a foundation in scientific problem-solving methodology.


    Recruited by a client, Spencer assumed the role of President at one of the nation's largest technology training schools. His leadership not only spearheaded the school's growth but also led to the successful replication of its model in various cities and states.


    In a significant shift, Spencer decided to dedicate more of his time to ministry work. He completed his Seminary education at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, in 2008. During this period, he founded a for-profit consulting business and a non-profit organization named Suburban Missionaries. This endeavor aimed to equip business leaders, executive directors, and pastors with essential skills, including staffing and recruiting, workforce development, operational design, sales management, hiring and firing, and entrepreneurship.


    Spencer is recognized as a serial business and spiritual entrepreneur. He and his family relocated to Arkansas, where they initiated a church plant that witnessed remarkable growth, evolving from his family of four to becoming one of the city's largest and fastest-growing congregations. Throughout this journey, Spencer continued his consulting work, collaborating with churches, pastors, chambers of commerce, workforce development offices, missions organizations, and businesses across the United States, England, and the Dominican Republic.


    In 2022, Spencer retired from his role in the church plant and redirected his expertise to HR Solutions On-Call, where he presently contributes his extensive experience.


    With a wealth of knowledge in executive leadership, operations, training, sales, consulting, coaching, and entrepreneurship, Spencer offers a unique and valuable perspective to organizations in various sectors, including for-profit, governmental, educational, non-profit, and church sectors.


    For 30 years, Spencer has been happily married to Jennifer, a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator, and together they are proud parents of two grown children.



Lidia Young, LSCSW

    Lidia is a Licensed Specialist of Clinical Social Work (psychotherapist) with 25 years of executive coaching experience. As a clinically trained holistic professional, Lidia has a track record of significantly and consistently increasing individual performance as well as improving team cohesiveness and effectiveness. She is a seasoned facilitator and has worked with hundreds of high-level leaders, management teams, boards of directors and start-ups. She has extensive experience in root cause problem-solving, conflict resolution and management team development. She teaches leaders and teams to become more mentally strong and emotionally fit.
